About Certified Home Inspection and Me

I founded CHI in 2008 after completing 140 hours of classroom training as well as 40 hours of in-the-field training in home inspection. To date, I have inspected well over 1,200 homes in Western New York—in each case providing my client with a comprehensive written report providing the facts and data he or she needed to make an informed buying decision.

I have been licensed as a New York State Home Inspector and insured for the past 15 years, and I founded and have kept CHI as a small business—by choice. No CHI inspection work is ever subcontracted or assigned to less-experienced personnel; I handle each and every inspection personally and provide my clients with my clearly written and thorough assessment of the structural integrity and condition of the property they are considering for purchase. My core business is generated by referrals from realtors, real estate attorneys, and repeat clients. I have earned the confidence of hundreds of realtors in the five counties of Western New York who have referred me to their clients for CHI’s inspection services. Each and every inspection I perform is conducted in full compliance with ASHI (the American Society of Home Inspectors) standards and guidelines.

My philosophy with CHI is simple: I treat every property I inspect as if I were considering buying it myself. This means all my inspections are conducted honestly and ethically, with a goal of providing facts and direction, not creating alarm or uncertainty. At CHI, my clients need to know the facts about their new home so they can make an informed decision about its value and the potential cost of any repairs it might need.
